The three loons were swimming in Hotel Bay. Sandy and Larry Kraker had stopped by the dock at Cliffside in their kayaks to talk to Lea Dickson, Shari Barnhart and their guest, Deborah Kate Hammond. The loons chatted to each other as they swam toward us.

When the loons saw that we humans were not that interesting, they decided to go fishing and just swam away. All of us were amazed that they had come so close.

UPDATE: 5:00 PM- While cruising around this afternoon, we saw FIVE loons...
