Since early May, we have been aware of a single loon on Sylvia Lake. He/she has a wonderfully loud voice and his/her vocalization always made us happy...but sad to think he/she was all alone. It was as if this single loon was calling out for friends. Must have worked...

Yesterday, late afternoon, (May 11) we saw a raft of loons... I thought at first they were geese or maybe the loon-shaped duck called a mergansers, but the binoculars told us otherwise. Yippee!! We have loons! Jet-skiers and boaters, please be aware of our loony neighbors.
