The THIRD attempt 6th Annual Nori Grout Memorial Regatta is in the books!

The Regatta was postponed for inclement weather from August 2nd until August 8th, when there was no wind, and then rescheduled again for Sunday, August 9th, when there was some wind, no sun and plenty of rain.

The intrepid sailors, who returned to try again, braved inconsistent winds, soaking rain and then dead calm to complete the course.

Greg Force retains the trophy by capturing 1st for the second year running. Laurie Harter took second place. And Emily Sprague captured third. Other participants included: Peter Henry and Mike Hatch, Shea Heitz, and Scott MacKelvey, who is probably still becalmed somewhere...

The Committee Boat crew consisted of Phil Sprague and Roxanne Tyler. Buoys were provided by the Tyler family.

The photos were taken on the sunny, but windless Saturday. It was raining too hard on Sunday. Photo credits: Phil Sprague, Article by Emily Sprague
